exhibition educational activities (spinning, dyeing, weaving, woodworking, archery, weapons and armaments of the Lombards).
Demonstrative educational activities on the hammering of the Lombard coin (Castelseprio Mint). Archery courses and demonstrations relating to the use of bladed weapons.
3.00pm - 4.30pm
Archaeological conferencesDr. Yuri Godino "Flasks and stamps: an overview of Lombard ceramics in Italy".
Dr. Cristiano Brandolini "The ceramist in the Early Middle Ages: tools and technique".
5.00pm
inauguration of the square in front of the Monastery of Santa Maria Assunta, with
intervention by authorities and award ceremony for pupils from the second classes of the Sally Mayer School who participated in the competition of ideas for the naming of the square. At the end of the
historical parade.
7.30pm
refreshment point opening.
7.00pm-7.30pm screening of the docufilm
"The Longobard woman", directed by Simone Vrech and Sandra Lopez Carbera.
9.00pm and 9.30pm
night visits to the Monastery by torchlight curated by Pro loco Cairate, by reservation from the website of the Municipality of Cairate

On both days the educational exhibition on the Lombards will be open: on display are reconstructions of clothes, weapons and jewels curated by Associazione Insubria Antiqua, the
reproduction of the manuscript "Historia Langobardorum" created by CAPSA Ars Scriptoria and the
photographic exhibition "Tutta un'altra storia" curated by Camillo Balossini,
book stand curated by Associazione Culturale Terra Insubre.
